The Fire Services Act 1981 (2003) imposes responsibilities on the person having control of premises to take all reasonable measures to guard against the outbreak of fire on such premises and to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the safety of persons on the premises inn the event of an outbreak of fire whether such outbreak has occurred or not.
To comply with current health and safety legislation all employees and management engaged in manual handling must be given trainingin safe manual handling techniques. By training employees and management in safe manual handling techniques you can avoid costly compensation claims. Back injuries caused by incorrect manual handling techniques are one of the most frequent causes of workers compensation claims.
