It emphasises the dangers of fire, the importance of prevention, the necessity of urgent action when fire breaks out and the importance of progressive horizontal evacuation. An important feature of this course is the practical use of our Live Fire Demonstration Unit, which allows the instructor to demonstrate most fire sources including many specific fire hazards in the workplace also allowing participants to use fire extinguishers in a safe clean controlled environment.
Refresher training is essential to ensure that staff keep up to date with developments in fire safety and re-enforce skills gained from Nursing Homes Fire Safety Procedures Course. The course is a group discussion with participants and the instructor, re-enforcing positive behaviour within each module and allowing participants the opportunity to address areas of concern and how to overcome them.
