First Aid

First aid is the ability to help a friend, colleague or family member who un-expectantly becomes ill or is injured in an accident. By having the ability to respond to an emergency situation such as heart attack, choking, drowning, electrocution, burns, and scalds and have the ability to identify causes of possible spinal injury you could give your friend, colleague or family member the best gift of all which is the rest of their life. Accidents and emergencies always happen unexpectedly if you’re prepared with at least a basic knowledge of first aid you can make the difference and increase your friend colleague or family member’s chance of survival.

The general application regulations places responsibility on employers to have adequate first aid facilities and personnel trained to an appropriate level to render first aid in the event of an accident.
